If you send us a disc, this is what happens to it after it has been unpacked and given a visual inspection.
It gets cleaned, very thoroughly, using the best method that we know.
Originally we tried brushes, pads, lotions and potions, sticky pads (yeuch!), and even a car vacuum cleaner. But the only really effective way to clean an old record - and those are the ones we mostly work with - is multi-stage wet cleaning followed by vacuum drying. The hand-cleaning that you see here, using Disk Doctor’s Miracle Record Cleaner fluid, is just the first part of the process.
