1) All orders must include the post and packing charge of £6.50 to return your original media and the media we create for you. We always use Post Office Special Delivery to return your job. For media where no other copy exists we strongly suggest that you, too, use Royal Mail Special Delivery to send it to us.

2) Payment is normally by cheque with order, payable to disk2disc. We will only present the cheque for payment when work on your order is complete and we are about to send you the results.

3) Doubt If you’re not sure about how much your job will cost, or about any other aspect of your job, please contact us beforehand!

4) Ownership You must personally own any media that you send to us.

5) Copying If you own the copyright in the media you send to us, or if the media is not copyright, you will own copyright in the transfers that we make and you may make further copies.

If you do not own the copyright, for example of a treasured LP that is unavailable on CD, not only must you personally own the LP, but the disk/CD that we return must remain together in the same ownership. This is to avoid infringement of copyright of the original disk. (For example, you mustn’t keep the CD and sell the disk to a second-hand record dealer, or keep the disk and give the LP to your Aunt Mabel.) Also to avoid infringement of copyright of the original disk, you must make no additional copies, either of the disk or of the CD that we make for you. We will, wherever possible, label the CDs that we create with the copyright statement of the original copyright owner. We cannot, because of copyright restrictions, copy original LP artwork.

6) Care We will take good care of your media. However should damage occur while in our care, our liability shall be limited to replacement with another of the same type in similar or better condition, or by an amount which is the value of the media as stated by a reputable dealer. We cannot be responsible for loss or damage of media while in transit to us or from us.

7) Damaged Media When we clean and examine your source media or begin to transcribe it, we may discover that unfortunately it is so damaged that it is not worthwhile or even possible to go further. In this case we will contact you to tell you about the problem, and then return the media to you and charge only for the return post and packing. We don’t charge for any work we may have done up to this point.
